What Is Sugaring?

Body Sugaring is an all natural, much less abrasive form of hair removal containing only sugar, lemon and water. The treatment is performed using a ball of this paste that looks like thick honey. The paste is applied by hand and molded into the hair follicle. With a quick flick of the wrist, the paste & hair are removed in the same direction of growth making it less irritating, smoother and longer lasting than traditional waxing with much less discomfort. Clients will still feel a slight sting from the root of the hair being removed from the tiny pore but there will not be that lasting burning sensation experienced when using a resins based wax that grabs live skin.

Benefits

Thinner & Finer Hair – hair will begin to have smaller more shallow roots, over time the follicle will no longer produce a blood supply, which means hair removal will become more permanent. Look forward to soft outgrowth and no more rough stubble.

Get Glowing – Sugaring hair removal exfoliates the skin making your skin radiant. Wonderful to brighten tattoos and to remove dry skin cells.
Reduce Ingrown Hair – No more razor burn, bumps or cuts. 3-4 weeks to grow back, over time its semi-permanent.

Less Irritation – Enjoy quick recovery time with sugaring, sugar is much gentler than shaving or waxing.

Contains 100% organic ingredients sugar, lemon juice, and water that’s it! Allergen free ingredients, do check for citrus allergies.

Less Painful – Sugar does not stick to live skin cells, and is never heated, if warmed temperatures are below body temp 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit, will never burn the skin.

Post After Care

24 hours after sugaring treatment, you should avoid the following:
Do not apply any scented lotions or creams
Do not exfoliate the skin for 48 hours after treatment
Deodorant (if you had underarms sugared)
Heat (including saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga studios)
Direct sunlight, tanning beds and infrared lamps
Working out (skip the gym for the day)
Make-up (if you had face sugared)
Touching, scratching or rubbing the treated area

It is very important to exfoliate and hydrate your skin. Start exfoliating the skin 2 days after the sugaring treatment every 2-3 days. To exfoliate you can use a dry bristle body brush or the jar in a bar exfoliating product I retail and move in a circular motion. For the more sensitive areas like the bikini or Brazilian use a coffee or sugar scrub. In order to keep skin hydrated, make sure to moisturize with a lotion or cream that is all natural.
Do not use a razor to remove hairs in between appointments. This defeats the purpose of and decreases the benefits of body sugaring.
